We are seeking an Assistant Country Manager (Italian native speaker) to support the Country Manager in overseeing commercial operations and driving business performance within a structured and international catering environment.
This role includes an initial 6–12 month onboarding and mentoring phase, with the objective of developing full operational autonomy and a clear progression path toward a Country Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Country Manager in commercial activities and business development, managing existing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities
- Prepare commercial offers and tenders in collaboration with the Country Manager and, where applicable, under the supervision of the Managing Director
- Monitor and analyze meal costs, attendance, and operational KPIs to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Oversee service quality standards and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Continuously identify and implement solutions to improve service delivery and client experience
- Collaborate with the administration team in verifying and monitoring invoicing processes
- Conduct regular site visits to operational locations
- In coordination with HR, support the management and planning of Nutritionists’ activities
- Review weekly and monthly project reports, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and performance targets
- Supervise and manage team members, including training, task allocation, performance evaluation, and issue resolution
- Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering team development and engagement
- Ensure full compliance with company processes and contribute to achieving or exceeding annual performance targets
- Oversee financial performance of assigned projects, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue monitoring
- Analyze and comment on periodic financial statements
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a catering company
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Solid commercial acumen and client-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to build relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Strong capabilities in planning, budgeting, staffing, and organizational management
- Good command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of French or Portuguese is considered a plus
- Fluent Italian

CONTRACT & COMPENSATION
Contract type: Permanent employment contract, €4,000–€5,000 net per month, depending on experience.
