quality Manager

On behalf of an established industrial organization with a strong international presence, we are seeking a Quality Manager.

This role is a critical leadership position, with full accountability for a function that is central to both operational performance and brand reputation. The company operates in a highly regulated environment, serving demanding international markets and maintaining rigorous certification standards.

The appointed candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of the Quality function, strengthening governance, elevating standards, and fostering a cohesive, performance-driven team culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction across:
  • Quality Control
  • Quality Assurance
  • Laboratory Operations
  • Lead, structure, and develop a multidisciplinary quality team
  • Ensure the effectiveness, robustness, and continuous improvement of quality systems and certifications
  • Act as the primary interface for audits (including unannounced inspections), certification bodies, and key clients
  • Establish, implement, and monitor quality standards, procedures, and performance indicators
  • Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, contributing to strategic decision-making
  • Ensure full compliance with international regulations and standards, supporting business expansion in export markets
  • Manage critical quality issues, defining and executing corrective and preventive action plans


Candidate Profile

Experience & Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in senior quality roles within the food industry
  • Background in bakery, cereals, baked goods, or pasta manufacturing preferred
  • Proven track record in managing internationally recognized quality and food safety standards
  • In-depth understanding of end-to-end quality processes across the manufacturing value chain
  • Fluency in Italian and English


Leadership & Managerial Skills

  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to lead and align structured teams
  • Experience operating in complex or evolving organizational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure, discipline, and clarity to underperforming or unstructured functions
  • Skilled in managing change and influencing stakeholders at different levels
  • Results-oriented, with a pragmatic and execution-focused approach

  • Contract type: Permanent employment contract, Seniority Level: Middle Management (Quadro equivalent)
