We are currently seeking a Technical Sales – Dairy, an experienced technical professional who will support customers in collaboration with the sales team. This role focuses on managing the technical relationship with key clients, supporting business growth, and contributing to the development of innovative dairy solutions for cheese production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical support to customers and distributors, understanding their needs and offering solutions for the use of dairy cultures and enzymes in cheese applications.
- Conduct trials, demos, and training sessions either on-site or at internal facilities, evaluating product performance and cheese quality.
- Analyze process performance, provide feedback, and propose optimization strategies to improve formulations and solve technical issues.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision makers in the cheese industry, acting as a reliable technical partner.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, collaborating with R&D and marketing to inform internal development efforts and ensure alignment with market expectations.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to identify new business opportunities within the cheese segment.
- Participate in trade fairs, conferences, and technical events to promote the company’s cheese expertise and solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, R&D, marketing, regulatory) to share insights, best practices, and project updates.
- Travel across Italy (frequent) and occasionally across Europe, supporting customers and business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in the cheese industry, with solid knowledge of cheese production processes, ingredients, and quality standards.
- Proven expertise in the application of cultures and enzymes in cheese production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English.
- Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working autonomously or within a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 30–40% of the time, and ability to adapt to diverse cultures and working environments.
Fluent in Italian and English.
